I FInally Got My MOJO Back!
When I returned from the holidays it felt like no matter what I did I could not get into the groove. I struggled with sleep, eating healthy, and being motivated. The beginning of the year is when you want to really hit the ground running and I had completely lost my mojo.
It wasn’t until I stopped criticizing myself for this speed bump that I started to get my mojo back. When you fall off of the horse do not beat yourself up if you do not get back on right away. You know it will happen eventually but maybe it will be Thursday.
The same thing applies when you are trying to create a habit at the gym. Sometimes you fail. Sometimes you have great intentions and it just doesn’t happen. It’s ok. Do not start the negative self-talk because you didn’t get to the gym on January 1st. Each meal, each hour, each day is an opportunity to make a difference….an opportunity to make a change for the better.
Let yourself make mistakes and try again at lunch time, try again this afternoon, or try again tomorrow. Criticizing and name calling will not motivate you to stick to a plan. You have to enter these New Year Resolutions with a positive attitude and a realistic one. If at first you don’t succeed try again….and if at first you don’t succeed you are still a good person…and if at first you don’t succeed its ok, tomorrow is a new day.
